All of us almost always tend to move to nature when stressed. That is why this is one of our favorite topics to talk about. While you may have seen numerous tv, print and social media ads on how most of the commercial soaps are good for skin, none can over power the benefits of a handmade soap. It is purely natural.
- Enriching glycerin content: A handmade soap is rich in glycerin content. Glycerin moisturizes our skin and nourishes it. Like we drink orange juice, glycerin is the juice for our skin. It nourishes our skin and prevents the skin from getting dry, flaky or itching.
- Chemicals free: To add cleansing properties, commercial soaps use lot of heavy and harmful chemicals, which are cheaper in cost. In contrast to this, a handmade soap gets its cleansing properties from the oils used during its production. We do not add chemicals for cleansing. We also add natural ingredients like, coffee, turmeric, rosemary, etc for further enhancements. It is as natural as it can be.
Below points will provide you with some clarity on benefits of a handmade soap:
- Colors: Colors are ad ons which one adds in a handmade soap to enhance its features and likability. These ad ons are natural in their composition. We do not add any chemicals. For example, we add different quantity of turmeric to obtain a grade of yellow color. Coffee or cinnamon are added to induce brown color. It also depends on the creativity of the soap maker to mix and match and play around with the colors.
- Fragrances: For fragrances, we use beautiful essential oils. These essential oils, along with adding beautiful smell also add the properties of the oils related to aroma therapy. For example, while bathing with a handmade soap with tea tree aroma, you will also feel the healing effect as you smell the oil and it reaches your lungs.
- Emotions: A lot of our emotions go into the manufacturing of the handmade soaps. These include the love and care while making the soap and the pure happiness that we get while cutting the soap.
